What an incredible time of learning and encouragement at the Acts 29 Boot Camp! It was definitely a needed time for Cheryl and I to talk and think and pray (not necessarily in that order :-) ). The interview went well and things appear very positive for our being accepted into the network. We will know for sure within a couple of weeks.

Good morning, saints,

Well, I can hardly believe we have come to the end of Genesis on Sunday mornings – except for a brief look at Jacob preaching his own funeral message in Gen. 49, which we will look at next week! As I reflect on God’s mission as seen throughout the book, I rejoice in the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, where I am accepted by sheer grace on the basis of what Jesus did as a substitute for poor sinners like you and like me.

I trust that this past Sunday’s message in Luke 15 has given you something to meditate upon this week. I realize more and more that there is never a time for coasting in the Christian life. The Spirit is ever at work – revealing things about myself that leads to repentance and humility; and then to lift my head to reveal Christ in all His splendor, perfection, and glory. Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Good morning, saints,

I am beginning what I hope will become a tradition that is beneficial to us all, as we seek to glorify our hero – the Lord Jesus Christ. I will not only post this on the discipleship blog, but I will also try to send out a copy for those of you who cannot find our blog! J For the most part, this Mmmmm… letter will likely go out Monday afternoons (sent out from the school in Leask once I’m finished my classes). However, Mamm just didn’t seem as good of a title – so I’ll stick to Mmmmm… even when it doesn’t get sent out in the morning.
